The Museo Lázaro Galdiano of Madrid and Arte Global, in collaboration with Fundación Banco Santander, are pleased to present the exhibition Paisajes encontrados: El Bosco, El Greco y Goya. José Manuel Ballester (“Found Landscapes: El Bosco, El Greco and Goya. José Manuel Ballester”). It will take place at the same museum from May, 19th, to September, 11th 2016, and will be curated by Elisa Hernando Calero.

The exhibition starts with a selection of masterpieces from the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, including El Bosco (Netherlands 1450-1516), El Greco (Greece 1541-Spain 1614) and Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (Spain 1746-France 1828), together with another magnificent work lent for the occasion by Fundación Banco Santander, Cristo agonizante con Toledo al fondo (“Christ Crucified, with Toledo in the background”), by El Greco.

All the pieces will be displayed next to their corresponding photographs produced by José Manuel Ballester (Madrid, Spain, 1960). He is a Spanish artist of international renown, whose production focuses on photography and architectural painting. In 2010, the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport awarded him the National Photography Prize.
