A&G, in collaboration with Arte Global, announces the 1st Edition of the A&G Art Prize, whose main objective is to promote the production and dissemination of the work of emerging artists, through an annual call for entries. With the help of Arte Global, one of the largest international art consulting firms dedicated to art collecting and cultural management projects, A&G wants to strengthen its commitment to culture and offer its support to emerging artists, giving them the opportunity to enhance the visibility of their works.
Alberto Rodríguez-Fraile, president of A&G, says: “As part of our commitment to promoting art and culture, we launched this initiative to support these new talents so that they can access a space where they can exhibit their works and reach the public. We believe that this type of initiative represents an essential support for artists in their initiation stage, surely one of the most important stages of their career.”
The A&G Prize will select thirteen works from a total of six artists, one winner and five finalists, which will be exhibited for one year, with the option of being sold to the public, at the A&G headquarters at Paseo de la Castellana 92 (Madrid), on the floor dedicated to client meeting rooms. This award also entails a cash prize of €6,000 for the winning work.
The winner of the first prize will have a total of 3 rooms to exhibit the prize-winning work and 2 more works that A&G will choose after the jury's decision.
The 5 finalists will have 2 exhibition rooms each, one for the finalist work and another for another work of theirs chosen by A&G.
A&G, a new stage with total independence

A&G and EFG announced in April this year the acquisition of EFG's entire minority stake of 40.5% in A&G from A&G's Spanish shareholders. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022, subject to regulatory approval.
