The A&G Art Prize is consolidated and the IV Edition begins

El Premio De Arte De A&G Se Consolida Y Arranca La IV Edición

Following the positive reception of the first three editions, A&G is now calling for applications for the 4th Edition of the A&G Art Prize, which aims to continue supporting the production and dissemination of the work of emerging Spanish artists. The A&G Prize will select one winner and five finalists, whose works will be exhibited for one year, with the option of being sold to the public, at the A&G offices. This award also entails a financial prize of €6,000 for the winning work, which will become part of the firm's collection. This edition will once again feature the collaboration of Arte Global, a firm specialising in international art consultancy, dedicated to art collecting and cultural management projects.

According to Alberto Rodríguez-Fraile, president of A&G, this award “is an opportunity to boost the professional careers of artists at the beginning of their careers, as well as to discover and recognise the value of their works. We are very proud of the consolidation of this award, which is now in its fourth edition, and which each year presents us with a new opportunity to show our commitment to art and culture.”

Those interested can consult the rules of the Award at www.ayg.es/actualidad and have a deadline to submit their applications from May 16 to July 1, while the jury's decision will be made on September 12. The award will be decided by a vote of a jury made up of 11 members related to the art world in different capacities: Luis Chillida, Ana Serratosa, Chus Pedrosa, Elisa Hernando, Isabel Alonso, Isabel Ballesteros, León Benelbas, Lucía Ybarra, Mónica Riberas, Pedro Sendagorta and María Eugenia Rodríguez Fraile.

The winner of the first prize will be able to exhibit a total of three works in A&G's client rooms for one year: the winning work and two more chosen by A&G after the jury's decision. The five finalists will exhibit two works each: the finalist work and one more chosen by A&G from its repertoire.

In the three previous calls, more than 100 applications were received in each of them. The artists awarded with the A&G Art Prize have been Maillo in 2021, Rubén Rodrigo in 2022 and Diego Benéitez in 2023.

This award is part of A&G's social commitment, which recently also exhibited outside its offices the artistic installation “Take Over Madrid”, created by Andrés Reisinger in the context of the ARCO Fair.
