First Collector, the program to support collecting and promoting contemporary art, managed by Arte Global and sponsored by Fundación Banco Santander, is celebrating its thirteenth anniversary. This free and personalized service will be available at ARCOmadrid, maintaining its objective of bringing collecting closer to all audiences and encouraging new buyers to enter the exciting world of art collecting and investment. The program, managed by the international consultancy Arte Global, offers all those who request it a personalized proposal of artists, galleries and works of art related to their tastes, interests and budgets.
In addition, since 2020, interested parties can enjoy this digitalized service. In this way, the user can receive their ad hoc proposal on their mobile device.
Elisa Hernando, founder and director of Arte Global confirms: “The results are very positive because every year more collectors have signed up and many are repeat buyers. During these thirteen years as head of the advisory service we have helped more than 600 people with their art purchases.”
For its part, Fundación Banco Santander, by supporting this initiative, once again reaffirms its commitment to collecting and its importance in promoting contemporary art in our country. “With this program we want to bring collecting closer to the public, removing the elitist label from it,” says Borja Baselga, director of the Foundation. “On the contrary, acquiring art is supporting artists, valuing their work and allowing contemporary art to continue being produced.”
