Among them is Elisa Hernando (Madrid, 1973), who in 2003 founded Arte Global, a consultancy specializing in art collecting for companies, institutions, and private clients. Hernando recognized that this type of advisory service did not exist in Spain—though it was already present in the United States—and that it was essential for both art professionals and collectors.

After a career in banking and gallery management, Hernando struck out on her own: “When I launched Arte Global, I was 30 years old. The circumstances were very different then—both in terms of the art market and the role of women entrepreneurs in this country. Despite the challenges along the way, I would do it all over again,” she recalls.

Through these projects, Elisa Hernando has established herself as a leading figure in international art consulting, corporate and private collecting, and the digital transformation of the art market in Spain.
