Information about the work

David Nash (United Kingdom, 1945) is a sculptor and environmental artist recognized for his work with wood and natural materials, through which he explores the cycles of life, transformation, and the relationship between art and nature. A pioneer of land art in Great Britain, his work is characterized by a profound harmony between form, matter, and environment. Installed in a former church in Wales, Nash develops sculptures that respect the growth, decomposition, and energy of trees, using species such as oak, yew, and redwood. His works reflect his commitment to sustainability and time as a sculptural element. His pieces, conceived as "biological sculptures," integrate processes such as charring, erosion, and cutting, without losing the organic nature of the material. His output, of great formal and conceptual coherence, has been exhibited internationally in museums in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his key role in contemporary environmental art.

David Nash is a contemporary British sculptor born on November 14, 1945, in Esher, England. He is known for his wood sculptures and installations in the natural landscape. He began his art training at the Kingston School of Art and continued at the Chelsea School of Art in London. During his studies, he discovered his love for wood and began working with it as a sculptural material. After graduating in 1967, he traveled to the United States and spent a year at the University of California, Davis, where he was influenced by the work of Robert Arneson and Bruce Nauman. In the 1970s, Nash settled in Wales and began creating large-scale works in nature, using wood and other natural materials. In 1980, he won the Liverpool John Moores Foundation Prize for his wood sculpture "Round Tower," which was acquired by the Tate Gallery in London. In 2004, he was awarded the title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to art. Throughout his career, Nash has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world, including at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Tokyo, the San Francisco Museum of Art, and the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. In 2009, his work was the subject of a retrospective at the Yorkshire Art Museum. In addition to his work as a sculptor, Nash is also an environmental activist and has planted over 20,000 trees on land he purchased in Wales in the 1970s. He is also a member of the Berlin Academy of Arts.

Quick and clear response. Delivery times were met as agreed. Shipping was carried out with great care: protection of the artwork, documentation, etc. Everything was fine. This is striking because the opposite is common. Rating: EXCELLENCE

Impeccable. Always attentive to their customers and exceptional service. Highly recommended.

- Luis Eduardo Ruiz Santiago

I was treated with absolute transparency via WhatsApp; they knew a lot about the art market and framing. The lithograph arrived today with great care, in a cardboard tube wrapped in onionskin paper. It looks just like the photo! But the size wasn't perfect for me; they need to improve that aspect. A very good virtual experience!

- Marta Vilchez

I have found a product/work that satisfies me and the most correct commercial treatment.
