6th A&G Art Award: Promoting the Value of Emerging Spanish Artists

The link between the financial sector and the cultural market is being re-established. A&G, one of the leading independent private banking entities in Spain (with over 17.8 billion euros in assets under management), has launched the sixth edition of the A&G Art Award.

This competition, which has already become an absolute benchmark in the national art scene, was created with a clear purpose: to firmly support the production, dissemination, and visibility of the work of emerging Spanish artists.

For this 2026 edition, the award once again has the collaboration and strategic support of ArteGlobaL, a firm specializing in international art advisory and collection management.

What does the A&G Art Award 2026 consist of?

This award not only offers direct financial support but also functions as an exceptional commercial and prestige springboard for creators in our country.

• Financial endowment: The winning work will receive a prize of €6,000 and will become part of the financial entity's prestigious private collection.

• Exhibition and sale: The winning artist will exhibit a total of three works (the awarded work and two others) for a full year in A&G's exclusive customer service offices.

• Visibility for finalists: Five finalist artists will be selected and will have the opportunity to exhibit two works each—the finalist work and another work of theirs chosen by A&G—in the firm's spaces, with direct sales options to the public and investors.

The success of the competition is endorsed by its previous editions, where each edition exceeded 100 applications. The awarded artists in recent years have experienced significant growth in their value within the contemporary art market:

To ensure the highest level of rigor and independence in the selection, the competition relies on a highly prestigious jury composed of 12 professionals related to the art world: Isabel Alonso, Isabel Ballesteros, León Benelbas, Luis Chillida, Elisa Hernando, Sophie Neuendorf, Chus Pedrosa, Mónica Riberas, Mª Eugenia Rodríguez-Fraile, Pedro Sendagorta, Ana Serratosa and Lucía Ybarra.

Among them stands out Elisa Hernando, director of ArteGlobaL, whose experience in curatorship and cultural management ensures an analytical vision focused on both aesthetic value and the potential for revaluation of the works.

If you are an artist and want to submit your proposal for this sixth edition, the project submission period is now open. Take note of the official calendar:

• Call closes: June 30, 2026.

• Jury's decision: September 17, 2026.
