The Serrería Belga in Madrid is hosting the exhibition Metamorphosis: Space and Society in the Idealista Collection from December 17th to March 8th . The exhibition brings together 120 works of photography, video, and performance by 58 national and international artists . It offers a critical reflection on the relationship between human beings and urban and natural spaces, and their impact on contemporary reality.
Curated by Elisa Hernando , the exhibition is structured around four thematic areas and combines works by established artists such as Colita, Ramón Masats, and Teresa Margolles with pieces by emerging creators. The exhibition highlights the diverse and value-adding nature of Idealista's corporate collection, whose central focus is the human presence and its social, cultural, and emotional dynamics.
The exhibition is part of a public-private collaboration between Idealista and the Madrid City Council and offers a visual journey through different places around the world to question the human footprint on the landscape and contemporary ways of inhabiting space.
