Madrid, May 26, 2026. A&G, one of the leading independent private banking firms in Spain, has launched the sixth edition of the A&G Art Award with the aim of continuing to support the production and dissemination of the work of emerging Spanish artists.
The A&G Award has already established itself as a significant competition in the art world in Spain. This award will select one winner and five finalists, whose works will be exhibited for one year, with options for public sale, in A&G offices. This award includes a cash prize of €6,000 for the winning work, which will become part of the firm's art collection.
Each of the previous five editions surpassed 100 submitted applications, with the first prize going to Maíllo (2021), Rubén Rodrigo (2022), Diego Benéitez (2023), Cristina Toledo (2024), and María Esteve (2025), respectively. These artists have achieved greater recognition and opportunities to develop their work.
This edition will once again feature the collaboration of Arte Global, a firm specializing in international art advisory and dedicated to art collecting and cultural management projects. The jury for this edition will consist of 12 members related to the art world: Ana Serrastosa, Chus Pedrosa, Elisa Hernando, Isabel Alonso, Isabel Ballesteros, León Benelbas, Lucía Ybarra, Luis Chillida, Mª Eugenia Rodríguez-Fraile, Mónica Riberas, Pedro Sendagorta, and Sophie Neuendorf.
Alberto Rodríguez-Fraile, president of A&G: “We are pleased to continue promoting emerging talent in the Spanish art scene, providing visibility and opportunities to creative artists with great potential. This award reflects our commitment to contemporary art in Spain”.
The submission of applications will open on May 27 and close on June 30, while the jury's decision will take place on September 17. Interested parties can consult the award rules on the A&G website and send their dossiers to premiodearte@ayg.es
The first prize winner will be able to exhibit a total of three works in A&G's client visiting rooms for one year: the award-winning piece and two others. For their part, the five finalists will each exhibit two works.
