Juan García Ripollés is a Spanish artist (Alzira, Valencia, Spain, 1932) who has been linked to Castellón since his childhood. In 1954, he moved to Paris, where he developed his career as a painter, and returned to Spain in the 1960s. His career encompasses painting, sculpture, and printmaking.

His work is characterized by figures with simplified forms, intense colors, and a language rooted in the Mediterranean. He has worked with painting, printmaking, ceramics, bronze, and glass, and many of his monumental sculptures have been installed in public spaces in various European and Asian cities.

He has presented his work in institutions such as the IVAM, which organized a retrospective of his career in 2012, and his work has been shown in museums and centers throughout Europe, the United States, and Asia. Among his awards are the Arts Award of the Valencian Community and the Distinction for Cultural Merit from the Generalitat Valenciana.
