MATERIALS AND CARE

 Recommendations for proper conservation of works of art:

  • Keep artwork away from direct sunlight and any other heat sources (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging artwork near areas with smoke and pollution (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We recommend protecting your artwork with a glass frame.

Avoid sudden temperature changes. It is recommended to store paintings in areas with a room temperature of 18-20°C and 50% relative humidity.

If you want to permanently illuminate the work, we recommend using cold light sources. Use a soft duster for periodic cleaning. Never use household cleaners.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Shipping usually takes around 7 days. Shipping costs are determined based on the gallery's location and the size of the artwork. Packaging material costs are included.

Purchases made through Arte Global’s website (www.arteglobal.es) can be canceled within 24 hours. After this period, the purchase is considered final.

In the photograph Corazones 1, renowned Spanish photographer Chema Madoz displays his unmistakable surrealist visual language. True to his sober aesthetic and presented in impeccable black and white, the work draws directly from Marcel Duchamp's readymade tradition and engages in dialogue with René Magritte's dreamlike universes. The piece is a perfect example of Madoz's mastery in reinterpreting reality: through the decontextualization and unexpected combination of everyday objects, the artist manages to bestow a poetic and entirely new meaning upon familiar elements. As is typical in his work, the striking optical illusion of Heart 1 is created analogically, directly in front of the camera lens and without resorting to any kind of post-editing tools.

Chema Madoz (Spain, 1958). Born in Madrid, he studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. After graduating, he worked as an advertising photographer and developed a practice focused on the visual transformation of everyday objects.

His photography is characterized by a minimalist, surrealist, and poetic language. Through unexpected associations between simple elements, he transforms ordinary objects into images with new meanings—such as a cup turned into a hat, a chair into a tree, or a key into a bird. His work invites reflection on the perception and beauty of everyday life.

He has participated in solo and group exhibitions in various countries. In 2000, he received the National Photography Award, and his work is part of the collection of the Reina Sofía National Art Museum in Madrid.
