MATERIALS AND CARE

 Recommendations for proper conservation of works of art:

  • Keep artwork away from direct sunlight and any other heat sources (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging artwork near areas with smoke and pollution (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We recommend protecting your artwork with a glass frame.

Avoid sudden temperature changes. It is recommended to store paintings in areas with a room temperature of 18-20°C and 50% relative humidity.

If you want to permanently illuminate the work, we recommend using cold light sources. Use a soft duster for periodic cleaning. Never use household cleaners.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Shipping usually takes around 7 days. Shipping costs are determined based on the gallery's location and the size of the artwork. Packaging material costs are included.

Purchases made through Arte Global’s website (www.arteglobal.es) can be canceled within 24 hours. After this period, the purchase is considered final.

En Marrón is a print by Antón Lamazares, one of the leading figures in the revitalization of Spanish art associated with the 1980s generation. Initially connected with Grupo Atlántica, his work evolved from a playful form of Expressionism towards abstraction, Informalism, and an increasingly refined formal language with a Minimalist sensibility. This graphic work reflects his interest in materiality, texture, and gesture, all essential elements in an artistic career that has achieved broad international recognition.

Antón Lamazares (Spain, 1954). Born in Maceira, a village in Lalín, Galicia, he works primarily in painting, though he also uses media and materials such as wood, cardboard, nails, and varnishes. His work explores Galician culture, the rural landscape, memory, and the expressiveness of materials.

His style evolved from expressive, figurative painting toward a more abstract and symbolic language, characterized by chromatic intensity and the physical presence of the materials. His body of work offers a poetic perspective on identity, nature, and history, and addresses the Spanish Civil War, Franco’s dictatorship, and repression through a concern for the struggle against oblivion. He also participated in the Atlántica movement, linked to the renewal of contemporary Galician art.

He has exhibited at the Palacio Almudí Art Center in Murcia, the Galician Center for Contemporary Art, and the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute in New York. He received the Laxeiro Prize in 2009, as well as the Gold Insignia from the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Castelao Medal from the Xunta de Galicia in 2010. His work is included in the collections of Afundación, which holds seven pieces; the Reina Sofía National Art Museum; the CGAC; the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid; and the Marugame Hirai Museum in Japan.
