Information about the work

José Guerrero (Granada, 1914–Barcelona, 1991) was a key painter in the renewal of postwar Spanish art, whose work is part of Abstract Expressionism. Trained in Granada and Madrid, he moved to Paris, where he came into contact with the European avant-garde, and later to New York, where he embraced the gestural and chromatic language of American Expressionism. His early works stand out for their vibrant use of color and energetic gestures, reflecting an emotional and deeply intuitive painting. In the 1970s, after returning to Spain, his style evolved toward a more restrained abstraction, with structured compositions and a more serene dialogue between form, space, and color. Guerrero investigated the limits of the canvas, exploring the tension between the pictorial and the architectural, without losing the sensorial intensity that defined his work. His deeply lyrical and experimental legacy is preserved in institutions such as the Museo Reina Sofía and the José Guerrero Center in Granada.

Juan Genovés is a Spanish artist born in Valencia in 1930, known for his figurative painting and his political and social commitment. Throughout his career, Genovés has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts (1985) and the National Prize for Plastic Arts (2008). His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world and is part of prestigious public and private collections. Juan Genovés's artistic style is characterized by the creation of large-format figurative works, in which he uses a very personal technique of applying color through small brushstrokes that combine to form an overall image. In his work, Genovés addresses themes such as war, oppression, and the fight for freedom, capturing scenes of demonstrations, rallies, and riots that reflect his political and social commitment. One of Genovés's most iconic works is "El Abrazo," a painting depicting a group of people embracing in the midst of a demonstration, symbolizing solidarity and mutual support in the face of oppression. This work has become a symbol of the struggle for freedom and human rights and has been reproduced in numerous contexts and media, from posters and T-shirts to murals and sculptures. Juan Genovés's work is considered an important reference in 20th-century Spanish painting and has been the subject of study and analysis by critics and art experts. His social and political commitment and his ability to capture social reality in his work have made him one of the most influential artists of the second half of the 20th century in Spain.

- Luis Eduardo Ruiz Santiago

I was treated with absolute transparency via WhatsApp; they knew a lot about the art market and framing. The lithograph arrived today with great care, in a cardboard tube wrapped in onionskin paper. It looks just like the photo! But the size wasn't perfect for me; they need to improve that aspect. A very good virtual experience!

- Marta Vilchez

I have found a product/work that satisfies me and the most correct commercial treatment.
