MATERIALS AND CARE

 Recommendations for proper conservation of works of art:

  • Keep artwork away from direct sunlight and any other heat sources (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging artwork near areas with smoke and pollution (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We recommend protecting your artwork with a glass frame.

Avoid sudden temperature changes. It is recommended to store paintings in areas with a room temperature of 18-20°C and 50% relative humidity.

If you want to permanently illuminate the work, we recommend using cold light sources. Use a soft duster for periodic cleaning. Never use household cleaners.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Shipping usually takes around 7 days. Shipping costs are determined based on the gallery's location and the size of the artwork. Packaging material costs are included.

Purchases made through Arte Global’s website (www.arteglobal.es) can be canceled within 24 hours. After this period, the purchase is considered final.

Information about the work

Eduardo Arranz-Bravo and Rafael Bartolozzi worked together during the 1970s on projects that expanded painting into murals, posters, and graphic work, using a language close to New Figuration and a pop sensibility of intense colors. This lithograph comes from the poster created for the artists' joint exhibition at the Association of Architects of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, held in Barcelona in 1972. The composition brings together architectural fragments, figures, trees, color planes, and linear strokes in an image of great visual density, where the layering of black, yellow, blue, and red also generates greens and oranges. The result combines the graphic energy of the poster with a fragmented and dynamic imagery, close to pop, and retains the expansive and experimental nature of their collaboration, also visible in projects such as the pictorial intervention at the Tipel factory in Parets del Vallès.

Due to its age, the paper shows some marks and signs of aging.

Arranz-Bravo and Bartolozzi was an artistic duo formed by Eduard Arranz-Bravo (Barcelona, Spain, 1941–Barcelona, Spain, 2023) and Rafael Bartolozzi (Pamplona, Spain, 1943–Vespella de Gaià, Spain, 2009). Both began collaborating in the late 1960s, although they maintained their individual careers in parallel.

Their joint work was characterized by a painting style featuring intense colors, organic forms, and pop references, with a clear desire to expand beyond the canvas. Their most iconic project was the intervention at the Tipel factory in Parets del Vallès, whose facade of over 2,000 m² they transformed using paint, architectural elements, and sculptures.

As a duo, they presented projects at institutions such as the Saló del Tinell in Barcelona and represented Spain at the 1980 Venice Biennale. Their joint work is also present in the MACBA collection.
