Last Friday, May 23rd, members of The Club had the privilege of participating in an exclusive tour of the impressive contemporary art collection of the international law firm Uría Menéndez. It was a unique experience that allowed us to admire firsthand a carefully curated selection of works by top-level artists such as Daniel Canogar, Nico Munuera, Jaume Plensa, Hanna Collins, and Joan Fontcuberta, among others. Each piece spoke to us not only of the talent of its creators but also of the curatorial approach that has shaped one of the most significant corporate collections on the national scene.
This collection is the fruit of a long and enriching collaboration between Arte Global and Uría Menéndez, developed with the aim of integrating contemporary art into the daily work of one of Spain's most important law firms. Although this collection is not normally open to the public, on this occasion, they offered us the privilege of accessing its spaces and discovering its works on an intimate and personalized tour.
Beyond the quality of the pieces, what made this visit special was the opportunity to discuss art, collecting, and the role culture plays in corporate settings, in a warm and enriching atmosphere. It was undoubtedly an experience that reminded us why being part of The Club means accessing unique cultural experiences not available to everyone.
