
The Badajoz Museum of Fine Arts and the Friends of the Museum Association are organizing a series of lectures on "The Art Market," which will begin this Thursday, October 21, in the Badajoz art gallery's conference room at 9:00 p.m.
According to the Museum, the series includes four lectures that will take place on Thursdays at the same time. The first will be given by María Dolores Ruiz Moya, a graduate in Art History and expert in art auctions and appraisals, and will address the role of art market agents.
The second lecture will take place on October 28th, led by Manuel Piñazo, director of the Instituto Superior de Arte and gallery expert, who will analyze the factors involved in the appraisal of artworks. The third lecture will be held on November 4th and will focus on the criteria for valuing artworks. It will be given by Elisa Hernando, a graduate in Business Administration and Art History.
The fourth and final conference is scheduled for November 11th and will focus on collecting. Oscar Garcinuño, a graduate in Art History and collaborator at the UCM, will be present.
