Expansion: Art Waits in the Shadows

Expansión: El Arte Espera en la Sombra

In this interview conducted by A. Redondo of Expansión with Elisa Hernando , founder and CEO of Arte Global , an international art consultancy, we analyze how the economic crisis has slowed the art market: even works by great masters, such as Picasso, have been left without buyers. However, for Elisa Hernando, this period of correction is not only a brake, but also an opportunity to purify the market and value quality over speculation.

According to Hernando, collectors are now more cautious and analytical, prioritizing established works and established artists. While contemporary pieces are experiencing a sharp decline, the great classics are holding their value better, consolidating a more stable and realistic market.
