Elisa Hernando, director of Arte Global, curates Eugenio Ampudia in Beirut
The artist Eugenio Ampudia (Valladolid, 1958) participates in the International Film and Video Creation Festival of Beirut (May 11-14, 2010), in an exhibition curated by Elisa Hernando , director of Arte Global , with the collaboration of Fabrizio Silvestre.
The festival will feature Ampudia's videos, such as Dónde dormir 1 (Goya) , Dónde dormir 2 (Alhambra) , Poniente (West) and Reflexión , works that explore historical memory and dialogue between civilizations, highlighting the coexistence between East and West. Donde dormir 2 (Alhambra) shows a figure sleeping in the emblematic Alhambra, while Dónde dormir 1 (Goya) takes place under the gaze of The Executions of May 3rd at the Prado Museum.
Curator Elisa Hernando and Arte Global are promoting a project that reflects on the relationship between public and private space, historical memory, and the viewer's interaction with the work of art.
