Agnes Martin (Canada, 1912 – United States, 2004). One of the key figures in abstract painting, she studied art in New Mexico, New York, and Oregon for several years. Her work is associated with minimalism and explores serenity, silence, and order.

Her paintings are characterized by subtle compositions of horizontal lines and geometric patterns. Inspired by nature, Eastern philosophy, and the pursuit of emotional purity, she focused on balance and meditation and maintained this approach throughout her career.

Her work is held in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
