Moisés Yagües

Moisés Yagües is a Spanish artist (Murcia, Spain, 1972), self-taught, who combines his artistic practice with teaching in art education. His work develops mainly through drawing, painting, and printmaking, with a language close to illustration, comics, and visual storytelling.

His practice starts from a personal imaginary world inhabited by characters, heads, bodies, and small scenes filled with humor, sensitivity, and symbolism. Through these images, Yagües explores the ideas, desires, fears, and contradictions that form part of human experience, building open narratives in which the viewer completes the meaning of the work.

He has presented his work in exhibitions and projects in Spain and internationally, with a presence in countries such as Germany, China, South Korea, the United States, Japan, and Taiwan. His awards include the 2nd International Printmaking and Wine Prize Dinastía Vivanco and the honorable mention at the Sala Alfara Printmaking Prize.
