Moisés Yagües

Moisés Yagües is a self-taught artist who works as an art teacher in Murcia. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in different cities around the world, including New Mexico, China, Germany, Slovenia, Barcelona, and Madrid. Throughout his career, he has received several awards for his work. In his works, Yagües seeks to express his imaginary world and his inner workings through minimal stories and small, individual quirks that he attempts to protect from commonplaces. A recurring element in his symbolism is the shape of the head, which suggests many ideas and motivates his creation. According to the artist, the head is the place where small stories live, full of nooks and crannies where ideas, desires, and other secrets are hidden. Yagües's works have multiple meanings, and it is the viewer who brings a different perspective, enriching or impoverishing the meaning of the work with their assessment.
