Salustiano García Cruz, known artistically as Salustiano, is a Spanish painter (Villaverde del Río, Seville, Spain, 1965), whose work focuses mainly on the human figure and portraiture. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Seville and has developed a figurative painting style with a strong visual presence.

His work is known for isolated faces and figures set against monochrome backgrounds, especially intense reds, created with great technical precision. Through these images, Salustiano explores beauty, identity, emotion, and the symbolic dimension of portraiture, combining classical references with a contemporary sensibility.

He has presented works in institutions such as the Frost Art Museum in Miami, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, the Fowler Museum in Los Angeles, Loyola University Museum of Art in Chicago, the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, and Fundación Cisneros CIFO in Miami. His awards include the Focus-Abengoa Painting Prize and the National Visual Arts Prize from the Rafael Botí Foundation.
