Information about the work

Antoni Tàpies (Barcelona, 1923 - Barcelona, 2012) is one of the leading exponents of Informalism, an artistic movement that focuses abstraction on experimentation with materials, seeking to generate different textures and nuances in his works. Clau means "key" in Catalan and is the title of this work by the artist, in which, through a gestural and enveloping brushstroke of a striking red color, he creates a contrast with the virgin background of the piece, thus generating an expressive engraving that at the same time maintains a balanced and harmonious composition.

Leer menos
