MATERIALS AND CARE

 Recommendations for proper conservation of works of art:

  • Keep artwork away from direct sunlight and any other heat sources (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging artwork near areas with smoke and pollution (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We recommend protecting your artwork with a glass frame.

Avoid sudden temperature changes. It is recommended to store paintings in areas with a room temperature of 18-20°C and 50% relative humidity.

If you want to permanently illuminate the work, we recommend using cold light sources. Use a soft duster for periodic cleaning. Never use household cleaners.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Shipping usually takes around 7 days. Shipping costs are determined based on the gallery's location and the size of the artwork. Packaging material costs are included.

Purchases made through Arte Global’s website (www.arteglobal.es) can be canceled within 24 hours. After this period, the purchase is considered final.

Whatshisname (Sebastian Burdon, Poland, 1982) is a contemporary artist who blends digital and traditional techniques to create works full of humor, irony, and references to popular culture. His alias, inspired both by his difficulty remembering the names of other artists and by Green Day’s song “Whatshername,” indirectly plays with the ideas of identity, memory, and forgetting. In his “Gone” series, characters linked to the world of childhood appear as silhouettes that fade away or attempt to reach out to the viewer from memory. In the work “Gone Lisa and Bart,” nostalgia becomes a visual experience, evoking the sensation of reconnecting, for a moment, with characters and emotions from our childhood.

Whatshisname is the pseudonym of Polish artist Sebastian Burdon (Poland, 1982), based in London since 2006. His career has developed mainly through sculpture, graphic work, and public art projects, combining traditional processes with digital tools and three-dimensional modeling and production techniques.

His work is linked to pop culture and uses humor, irony, and the appropriation of recognizable images to revisit icons of contemporary culture. Among his best-known works are the sculptures from the POPek series, which reinterpret the balloon dog figure, and the Gone series, based on characters associated with popular culture and childhood memories.

His work has been presented in public projects and exhibitions in cities such as London and Leeds, where several of his sculptures were installed at Victoria Leeds in 2026 for Leeds Pride. His work is also part of the Sovereign International Collection. Leer menos
