MATERIALS AND CARE

 Recommendations for proper conservation of works of art:

  • Keep artwork away from direct sunlight and any other heat sources (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging artwork near areas with smoke and pollution (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We recommend protecting your artwork with a glass frame.

Avoid sudden temperature changes. It is recommended to store paintings in areas with a room temperature of 18-20°C and 50% relative humidity.

If you want to permanently illuminate the work, we recommend using cold light sources. Use a soft duster for periodic cleaning. Never use household cleaners.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Shipping usually takes around 7 days. Shipping costs are determined based on the gallery's location and the size of the artwork. Packaging material costs are included.

Purchases made through Arte Global’s website (www.arteglobal.es) can be canceled within 24 hours. After this period, the purchase is considered final.

Information about the work

This print was originally published in the first edition of the play Le Cocu Magnifique, written by Fernand Crommelynck. The play tells the story of a man consumed by jealousy. Picasso (Málaga, 1881 - France, 1973) had a long-standing relationship with Crommelynck and had expressed his intention to illustrate the play long before the book was finally published in 1968. The edition includes 12 prints created by the celebrated artist, in which Picasso depicts key moments in the story in a free, almost primitivist style.

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist (Málaga, Spain, 1881–Mougins, France, 1973), considered a central figure in 20th-century art. He trained in A Coruña, Barcelona, and Madrid, and developed much of his career in France. His work included painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, stage design, and writing.

His career was marked by constant experimentation with languages, techniques, and forms of representation. Together with Georges Braque, he was one of the driving figures behind Cubism, a movement that transformed the way space and the figure were represented. Works such as Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, from 1907, held at MoMA, and Guernica, from 1937, held at the Museo Reina Sofía, are among his most emblematic works.

His work is part of collections such as the Museo Reina Sofía, MoMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tate, Centre Pompidou, Guggenheim Museum, and Museu Picasso in Barcelona. He has presented exhibitions in institutions such as MoMA, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Museo Reina Sofía, Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou, and Guggenheim Museum.
