Adrián Goma (Madrid, 1985) holds a Master's degree in Animation, Illustration, Comics, and Computer Graphics from ESDIP (Higher School of Professional Drawing). He has received important awards and mentions, such as the Barcelona Academy of Art Award in the 3rd Modportrait Portrait Competition 2015 and the Honorable Mention in the 29th Antonio Arnau Painting Prize in Quintanar de la Orden (Toledo, 2020). His work is part of private collections in Germany, Belgium, Spain, the United States, and France. For this artist, art is "the exaltation of humanity itself. Thousands of years of evolution condensed for the delight of the senses. It is the mirror in which humanity looks at itself. It is chronic and lyrical. It captivates and subdues us with its own light, blinding and iridescent, alien to reality, yet inseparable from it. It is our blood, not just that of artists, but that of all of us." He almost never intends to convey a message (or messages) through his work. What he really seeks is to create associations of ideas, thoughts, and musings that are configured into an image that coagulates, in one way or another, into an intricate network of concepts. They are concentrations of images with the aim of reaching a truth more enlightening than reality itself.
