Alberto de Udaeta
Barcelona, 1947
Alberto de Udaeta is a contemporary sculptor who uses traditional techniques to work with iron, Corten steel and bronze.
A virtuoso of form, Udaeta transforms metals into sculptures imbued with a poetic soul, strong, intense and essential.
His work is comprehensible and powerful thanks to the conceptual clarity with which he approaches the creative process, which is based partly on experience and partly on history.
Udaeta studied and began his career in Industrial Design, working in Europe and Canada until 1980, when he moved to Sant Feliu de Guíxols. From there, he created sculptures for private collections, public spaces, museums, and foundations.
