Aldo Chaparro (Peru, 1965) is a contemporary Mexican artist originally from Peru, whose work focuses primarily on sculpture, design and architecture,1?2? especially known for his sculptures made of stainless steel.3?4? He currently lives and works between Mexico City, New York and Lima.5? In addition to his work as an artist, Aldo Chaparro has also worked as an editor and art director. As director of Grupo Editorial Celeste he produced over 40 contemporary art and fashion publications from 2000 to 2012 including Celeste and Baby Baby Baby, two of the most influential publications on contemporary art and culture. His work has been collected by figures such as Domenico de Sole (Former CEO of GUCCI and CEO of Tom Ford), Simon de Pury, Helga de Alvear and Pierre Huber and has been exhibited in historic sites such as Palazzo Pamphilj, the Pantheon of Agrippa, the Church of Santa Chiara and the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, as well as galleries and museums around the world and fairs such as Art Basel Miami, ARCO, Art Dubai and Zona MACO.
