Ana Sanchez

Ana Sánchez was born in Salamanca, Spain, in 1964 and currently lives and works in Madrid. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and has developed a highly relevant artistic career. Ana Sánchez's work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in places such as Madrid, Vitoria, Barcelona, Paris, Malta, and Belgium, among others. Furthermore, her work has been awarded various scholarships and prizes, such as the Painting Scholarship from the Spanish Academy in Rome in 1999 and the Casa Velázquez Scholarship in Madrid in 2000. Her work has been presented at national and international fairs such as ARCO, CIRCA, FOROSUR, and ESTAMPA and has been acquired by prestigious public and private collections, such as the Contemporary Art Collection of the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo, the Engraving Collection of the National Library, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Madrid, among others. Ana Sánchez's work is characterized by a refined technique and great sensitivity in the capture of light and color.
