Artur Heras (Valencia, Spain, 1945) is a Spanish painter and designer. In 1964, he won the prize at the 5th International Salon of March with one of the first examples of the renewal of the visual language, known as New Realism and Pop Art. Heras's painting is oriented toward a reflection on the language of representation itself, where depth is combined with a refined and brilliant fantasy. Denunciation and satire are established as weapons in his work, especially during the Franco regime, utilizing the resources of Pop aesthetics. His work can be found in important collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Seville, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the InstitutValenciàd'Art Modern, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, and the La Caixa Collection, among others.
