Caio Reisewitz (São Paulo, 1967) is a prominent Brazilian contemporary artist known for his work in photography and video. His work explores the natural and urban landscapes of Brazil, and questions our relationship with nature and the environment. Reisewitz began his career in the 1990s, studying at the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo. Since then, he has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. In his work, Reisewitz has used photography to explore the beauty and diversity of Brazilian landscapes, from the Amazon rainforest to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. His images often focus on the interaction between humans and nature, and how our actions affect the environment. In his series "Made in Brazil," for example, Reisewitz photographed his country's factories and industrial landscapes, questioning the relationship between production and consumption. In addition to his work in photography, Reisewitz has also explored video as a medium to reflect on the relationship between the moving image and visual experience. In his work "Parede Verde," for example, he created a video installation depicting an ever-changing cityscape. Throughout his career, Reisewitz has been recognized for his contributions to Brazilian contemporary art.
