Christiane Löhr (Wiesbaden, Germany) is an artist with a 20-year international career in the field of contemporary art. Her radical sculptural work has been presented in both institutional and collective exhibitions in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, and the United States. Discovered at the 49th Venice Biennale, curated by Swiss artist Harald Szeeman, Christiane Löhr lives and works between Cologne, Germany, and Prato, Italy, where she collects the materials needed to create her sculptures during her walks and bicycle rides. Christiane Löhr studied Egyptology, Classical Archaeology, and History at the University of Bonn. She later pursued her artistic studies at the University of Mainz before entering the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf.
