Daniela Libertad is a contemporary artist born in Mexico City in 1983. From an early age, she showed a keen interest in art and, after completing high school, decided to dedicate herself fully to her artistic training. In 2002, Daniela entered the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda" in Mexico City, where she studied Visual Arts for five years. There, she had the opportunity to work with various artists and teachers who inspired her and taught her the techniques and skills necessary to develop her work. In 2006, Daniela moved to Germany to study at the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts, where she expanded her knowledge and experience in different artistic techniques and styles. Later, she moved to New York to pursue her Master's degree in Visual Arts at NYU Steinhardt, where she delved into the theory and criticism of contemporary art. Daniela's work is characterized by its exploration of the relationship between art and society, as well as by her interest in themes such as identity, memory, and culture. She uses a wide variety of techniques and materials, from painting and drawing to installation and performance. In addition to her work as an artist, Daniela has taught workshops and lectures on art and participated in group and solo exhibitions around the world. In 2015, she was awarded the "Young Creators" award from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) in Mexico. Today, Daniela continues to produce work and exhibit in different locations around the world, exploring new forms of expression and questioning the limits of contemporary art. Her work remains a reflection on the complex relationships between the individual and society, and their impact on the creation and interpretation of art.
