Emilio González Sainz (Torrelavega, 1961) holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of the Basque Country. He lives and works in Periedo, Cantabria. He has developed most of his artistic career in Spain and works with several galleries throughout the country. He has received several awards throughout his artistic career: 2004 Honorable Mention at the 17th "Ciudad de Zamora" Painting Biennial; 2005 "Best Cantabrian Artist" at the Cantabrian Government Fine Arts Competition; 2008 Award at the 6th National Painting Competition at the Parliament of La Rioja; 2009 Award at the Focus-Abengoa International Painting Competition; and 2015 Gold Medal at the 76th International Fine Arts Exhibition in Valdepeñas. Emilio González Sainz's work can be found in various national collections: the Santander Fine Arts Museum, the Testimoni Collection, and La Caixa. Barcelona, Caja Cantabria Collection, La Rioja Parliament Collection, Cantabria Government Northern Collection, Cádiz Provincial Council Cultural Foundation Collection, Prosegur Collection Barcelona, Focus-Abengoa Foundation Collection Seville, and Caja Extremadura Collection.
