Florencia Durán Itzaina was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1986. From an early age, she was fascinated by drawing, painting, and visual expression. She studied Industrial Design at the University of Uruguay (EUCD), but her true passion has always been urban art. In 2011, she began experimenting with mural painting in public spaces in Montevideo. She formed the duo Colectivo Licuado with Camilo Núñez, which in 2013 led them to travel throughout South America, painting and exchanging experiences with artists from different countries such as Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and Peru. Since then, they have dedicated six months a year to traveling and painting throughout Europe, South America, North America, and Asia, having participated in numerous urban art festivals in more than 15 countries. Colectivo Licuado has participated in world-renowned urban art festivals, such as "The Chrystal Ship" in Belgium, "Asalto" in Spain, "Blind Walls Gallery" in the Netherlands, "St. Arte India" in India, "Galeria Lira" in Chile, among many others. Their work stands out for its vivid colors, the mix of natural and urban elements, and the inclusion of the human figure in their murals. Florencia Durán has also exhibited her work in art galleries, highlighting her solo exhibition "Saudades" at the Modus Operandi Gallery in Montevideo. Her work has been recognized in her country and abroad, and her passion for urban art continues to drive her to explore and experiment with new techniques and forms of expression in different parts of the world.
Fascinated by drawing, painting and visual expression from a very young age, she studied Industrial Design at the EUCD.
Since 2011, he began experimenting with mural painting in public spaces in Montevideo. In 2017, she won the "As mil mulheres" competition in Rio de Janeiro with two murals inspired by the stories of local women.
In 2017 and 2018, he participated in the "Territorial Interventions" project by SOA Contemporary Art (Uruguay).
In 2018, one of his solo murals, titled "I Choose," painted in Spain, was ranked as one of the 10 most influential murals of 2018 according to the Street Art United States website.
Since 2017, she has begun working on a more personal and intimate project, related to her experience as a woman and the role of a female artist, also experimenting with other media such as paper, canvas, and collage.
In 2019, she held her first solo exhibition, "Nosotras misma" (Ourselves), at SOA. She won the FEFCA Training Award. She also leads individual and group workshops with Florencia Flanagan.
