Helen Frankenthaler (United States, 1928–2011). She developed her artistic practice in the field of painting, associated with the Abstract Expressionism and Color Field Painting movements.

Her work focuses on the interaction between color, form, and space. She is known for her use of the “soak-stain” or “stain painting” technique, which involves pouring diluted paint onto unprimed canvases, allowing her to create fields of color with an organic fusion of elements and compositions characterized by great fluidity, transparency, and luminosity.

Her works have been exhibited at institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the National Gallery of Art in Washington. Her works are also included in international collections such as those of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Tate Modern in London, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met).
