Joan Fontcuberta (Barcelona, 1955) is an artist and essayist specializing in photography. He has taught at Pompeu Fabra University and Harvard, as well as been a curator at institutions such as the National Library in Madrid and the ICP in New York. His work has been exhibited at museums such as MoMA, IVAM, and the Centre Pompidou. His recent projects include Deconstruir Ossama , Deletrix , and Googlegrames . He has received awards such as the National Photography Award (1998) and the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (1994). He has also published essays such as La furia de las imágenes and Revelaciones .
