Lucrecia Píttaro is an Argentine-Italian artist born in Buenos Aires in 1981. Since 2008, she has lived and worked between Paris and Barcelona, where she has developed an interesting career as a visual artist. Initially, Lucrecia trained in fashion and textile design at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) in 2000. Later, she expanded her studies at Central Saint Martins in London and at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, acquiring a broad and multidisciplinary education. In her artistic work, Lucrecia Píttaro combines various techniques and formats, from painting and sculpture to installation and video art. Her work is characterized by a strong symbolic charge and a careful aesthetic, in which details and composition play a fundamental role. Throughout her career, she has participated in various solo and group exhibitions in Europe and Latin America. Some of her most notable solo exhibitions include "Melt" at the Alliages Gallery in Lille (2018), "Habitat" at the F2 Gallery in Madrid (2017) and "Threshold" at the Nuu Gallery in Barcelona (2015). She has also participated in group exhibitions at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires, the Borges Cultural Center, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Florence Biennial of Contemporary Art and the ARCO Madrid Contemporary Art Fair, among others. Her work has been recognized with various awards and distinctions, including the Fundación Botín residency grant in Santander (2017) and the Bilbaoarte Foundation grant in Bilbao (2015).
