Marina González Guerreiro is a Spanish visual artist born in 1980. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2003 and has since exhibited her work in various solo and group exhibitions in Spain and abroad. González Guerreiro's work is characterized by its focus on the relationship between the human body and nature, and the tension between the organic and the artificial. Her preferred medium is watercolor, but she also works with mixed media, installations, and sculptures. Her works often feature human figures, often nude, and natural elements such as plants, animals, and landscapes, all fused with human-made objects, such as machinery or mechanical devices. Through this combination, González Guerreiro creates his own surreal universe that invites reflection on our relationship with the natural world and the impact our technology has on it. Throughout his career, González Guerreiro has received several awards and recognitions, including the Botín Foundation Artistic Creation Grant in 2004, First Prize in the 21st edition of the National Competition of Plastic Arts at the University of Seville in 2007, and the Casa Velázquez Artistic Creation Grant in Madrid in 2015.
