San Fernando, Cadiz, Spain, 1971.

Miguel Pablo and Manuel Pedro Rosado work and live in Seville. They are twin brothers who work under the name MP & MP Rosado. They studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville and the School of Fine Arts in Athens.
Doctors in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, they are currently associate professors. Since the mid-1990s, they have developed a work based on the constitutive mechanisms of discourse about the subject and its environment. Their paradoxical twin status allows them to explore duality and the alter ego, the construction of the self, individual and collective, "like an immense mirror in which we recognize ourselves." Perhaps for this reason, the most consistent characteristic of their work has been the presence of the double, the ambiguity resulting from duplication, reflection, and simulated repetition. Other characteristics of their projects are the exploration of life experiences, the private emotional substrate, the relationship between form and surface, language and meaning, emotions, and subjective choices.
Through all of this, he has managed to create a refined universe of conceptual references. They received the Pilar Juncosa & Sotheby's grant from the Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation in Mallorca, to carry out a project at the same venue (2014-2015). Among others, they have held residencies at the ISCP International Studio & Curatorial Program in New York, and have been awarded the Iniciarte (2006-2007); the 5th ARCO Prize from the Community of Madrid (2008); and the 4th Iniciarte Prize from the Ministry of Culture of the Regional Government of Andalusia (2009). The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, New York (2002-2003); Plastic Arts Scholarship from the Marcelino Botín Foundation of Santander (2008-2009) and 7th CAM Collection Plastic Arts Scholarship, Alicante (2009/2010) and VI Ibero-American Cortes de Cádiz Award for Contemporary Artistic Creation 'Juan Luis Vasallo' 2012. Cádiz City Council.
