Nono Bandera

Nono Bandera is a Spanish artist born in Málaga in 1958. He studied Fine Arts in Madrid and Mexico City, and later moved to New York to continue his training at New York University. Bandera works primarily with painting and drawing, and his style is characterized by abstraction and the exploration of color and form. His work is inspired by nature and cityscapes, and often focuses on the relationship between figure and background, creating dynamic and vibrant compositions. Throughout his career, Nono Bandera has received several awards and recognitions, including the BMW Painting Prize in 2003 and the AENA Foundation Award in 2010. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Marseille in France, and the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona.
