Pablo Sycet (Gibraleón, Huelva, February 9, 1953) is a prominent, multifaceted Andalusian painter of the 1980s generation, for whom painting remains the central element of his work. Over the course of three decades, his creativity has expanded into other fields such as publishing, typography, graphic design, founding art galleries, organizing exhibitions, writing song lyrics, and producing music. Furthermore, Sycet has been an important bridge between Andalusia and Madrid, and has sought to reinvest in Andalusia what he gained and learned in the Spanish capital. He has been a generous and selfless bridge between artists of different generations, from those before his own to the youngest emerging artists of today. His main residence is in Madrid, but he has never abandoned his ties to Andalusia and, in particular, to Granada. Sycet is a highly relevant artist, whose work has been fundamental to connecting different generations and disseminating culture in different artistic fields. His works are part of important collections, including: Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), Museo Vázquez Díaz (Nerva/Huelva), Provincial Council of Alicante, Gerardo Rueda Foundation (Madrid), Granada City Council, Provincial Council of Huelva, Banco Exterior de España, Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid), Centro Olontense de Arte Contemporáneo (Gibraleón/Huelva), Provincial Council of Granada, Zabaleta Museum (Quesada/Jaén), Caja de Ahorros de la Inmaculada (Zaragoza), Museo Nacional Postal y Filatélico (Madrid), Huelva City Council, The Hispanic Society of America (New York), School of Public Finance (Madrid), La General Foundation (Granada), Museum of the Angels (Turégano/Segovia), The Paul Keppler Library, Queens University (New York), Vychodoslovenska Galeria (Kosice/Slovakia), Visible Collection of Contemporary Art (Madrid), and Colec.cio Testimoni de la Caixa (Barcelona).
