He belongs to the 1960s generation, made up of very diverse artists who were committed to the revival of figuration and Pop Art. In 1962, he began studying Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. Initially, he was fascinated by the abstraction of Millares, Saura, and Tàpies. From the 1960s onward, he returned to figuration and became one of the leading exponents of Pop Art in Spain. In the 1980s, he sporadically leaned toward informalism, without neglecting the conceptual and object-based aspects of his work.
