Rebeca Plana

Rebeca Plana is a Spanish artist (Valencia, Spain, 1976), whose practice focuses on gestural abstract painting. She graduated from the San Carlos Faculty of Fine Arts in Valencia and continued her training at the Faculdade de Belas-Artes in Lisbon and at the Colegio de España in Paris.

Her work is known for the intensity of its brushstroke, the strength of its color, and the confrontation between material and space. Through broad gestures, dynamic compositions, and highly expressive surfaces, Plana builds a painting language in which movement, texture, and visual rhythm play a central role.

Her work is part of collections such as MACVAC and the Contemporary Art Collection of the Generalitat Valenciana. She has presented exhibitions in institutions such as Sala La Gallera, Colegio de España in Paris, Real Fábrica de Tapices, Centre Cultural La Nau, Fundación Antonio Pérez, Sala Parpalló, Fundación Bancaja, and Fundación Caja Castellón. Her awards include the Senyera Visual Arts Prize and the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia Prize.
