The work of Rómulo Royo (Zaragoza, 1976) focuses on and brings us closer to contemporary fantasy and science fiction, applying it to the world of painting. A personal and different vision from the current themes of the art world. He is attracted to universes that transport us to other worlds and timeless spaces, leaving behind everyday reality to immerse himself in more enigmatic places that have also always accompanied humanity. He approaches his work from the premise of a figurative language marked by a primitive composition, at the same time treated with force in his brushstrokes and a delicacy in the colors and veils that enhance the power exerted by his figures. Some of his influences can be found in filmmakers such as Ridley Scott or George Lucas with films such as Alien, Blade Runner or the first Star Wars trilogy and authors such as Jodorowsky. He works in the Malefic Time universe. The multimedia project brings together several books with paintings, published internationally, novels, mangas, sculptures made by the Yamato company (USA), and merchandising such as calendars published by Pyramid (UK) or Sellers Publishing (USA).
