Rosa Brun is a Spanish artist born in Madrid in 1954. She studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid and began exhibiting her work in the 1980s. In her early works, she explored geometric abstraction and the relationship between painting and architectural space. Throughout her career, Brun has used a variety of materials and techniques in her work, such as aluminum, lead, skay, and wood, and has developed an aesthetic of simple geometric forms and strong, contrasting tones. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and has been the subject of several awards and recognitions. In 2016, Brun was appointed Full Professor of Painting at the University of Granada, where she continues to teach and direct artistic projects. Her work has been influential in the Spanish art scene and has been the subject of studies and publications.
