Saracho (Ángel Hurtado de Saracho) (Asturias, Spain, 1973) holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Leioa in the Basque Country. He has exhibited in public institutions, foundations, and art galleries in Asturias, Castilla y León, Madrid, and Barcelona, in addition to participating in fairs such as Room Art Fair in Madrid, Cuarto Público in Santiago de Compostela, and Flecha Artea in Bilbao. His work can be found in private collections and in the Paradores de España collection. The work is mostly urban landscapes, snapshots of cities in which their light and people are captured on canvas from perspectives that are more pictorial than landscape. The city or the figure are anonymous, barely recognizable, although we know from the titles and Saracho's passion for travel that they have been seen all over the world. Composition and color rule his creations, as do the sketchy forms that move toward abstraction, schematism, and light. Procedures with which Saracho manages to accurately describe the atmosphere of these snippets of life, scenes that are generally relaxed and cheerful.
