Vincenzo Castella is an Italian photographer (Naples, Italy, 1952) who lives and works in Milan. He began his photographic practice in the 1970s and has since developed a visual research into the ways contemporary space is built, transformed, and inhabited.

Since 1994, he has been developing the project Buildings, focused on buildings, urban settings, and the relationships between architecture, nature, and daily life. In his images, he combines formal precision, critical distance, and close attention to changes in the landscape.

His work is part of collections such as Tate and the collections of the ICCD – Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione. He has presented projects in institutions such as Triennale Milano, Palazzo Reale in Naples, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Abbaye Montmajour in Arles, and the University of New Mexico Art Museum. He also took part in the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale.
