Yves Klein was a French artist (Nice, France, 1928–Paris, France, 1962), recognized as a key figure in postwar European art and Nouveau Réalisme. His work transformed the relationship between color, body, space, and artistic experience.

His work is especially known for the blue monochromes made with the tone he developed as International Klein Blue (IKB). He also explored the void, immateriality, fire, air, and the imprint of the body through paintings, sculptures, actions, and performative experiments. Through these investigations, Klein questioned the traditional limits of painting and opened new possibilities for contemporary art.

His works are part of collections such as Centre Pompidou, Tate, MoMA, and Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. His work has been shown in institutions such as Museum Haus Lange in Krefeld, Centre Pompidou, Tate Liverpool, and Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
