The reinterpretation of painting as an artistic medium underpins Arancha Goyeneche's (Santander, 1967) creative drive. To achieve this, she utilizes materials traditionally foreign to this discipline, particularly those from the industrial world, such as adhesive vinyl, PVC, photography, fluorescent lights, and projections, among others. She has held solo exhibitions at the Museo Nacional de Altamira, Museo Barjola, Museo de Arte de Santander, El Brocense, CAB, Palacio de Revillagigedo, and the Palacete del Embarcadero. In 2019-2020, her exhibition "Lugares Compartirs" toured the various Instituto Cervantes venues in Morocco: Marrakech, Fez, Casablanca, Tangier, and Tetouan. In 2019, she won the Rambleta Research and Production Grant (Valencia), creating the installation "Oasis and Desert" for the exhibition hall. He has participated in group exhibitions dedicated to new pictorial practices such as "Painting without Painting" curated by Javier Hernando, "Mutant Painting" by Ignacio Pérez-Jofre or "Video killed the painting star" by Javier Panera and Paco Barragán. His work is represented in public and private collections, including the North Collection of the Government of Cantabria, the Botín Foundation, the L'ORÉAL Painting Collection, Unicaja, the Parliament of Cantabria, the Santander Art Museum, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Complutense University of Madrid, Casyc, the Santander Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, UNED, the Caja Burgos Collection, the Official College of Architects of Cantabria, the Cáceres Provincial Council, Cajastur, DA2 Salamanca, the Ernesto Ventós Visual Scent Collection, the Los Bragales Collection, Tranche, and Lafuente. In 2020, he received the Cantabria Plastic Arts Award.
